A day off in Abiquiu means more than just rest; it’s a chance to explore!
Today was all about taking a breather in Abiquiu. We decided to stay an extra day at the Abiquiu Inn — our legs definitely needed it.
Abiquiu is a tiny village with quirky charm. Above are Buddy and Maria, residents of a ranch about 17 miles south of Abiquiu. They spotted us crawling up the two track yesterday in front of their property and they jumped on their dirt bike to come out and greet us. Buddy is a Marine Vet and he and Maria offered up cold drinks at their cabin. So many fabulous people out on the trail.
